Defender waiting for results of scans on knee injury

Sheffield United defender Chris Morgan is set for another stint out of action after suffering a knee injury. Morgan has only recently returned to first-team duty after a hamstring injury, but hurt his knee during Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Coventry City. The influential centre-back damaged ligaments in a knee joint and has had scans to assess the extent of the damage. The Blades fear Morgan, who turns 33 next week, could be out for several weeks and his absence will be a blow as Gary Speed's side look to find a consistent run of form. Morgan, who signed a new three-year contract at the end of last season, has made over 270 appearances since moving to Bramall Lane from Barnsley in 2003.
