Sheffield United's on-loan striker Sam Vokes has set his sights on ending their 14-game winless run this weekend.
The Blades travel to in-form Portsmouth in desperate need of a boost after a torrid few months has seen them sink into trouble, with the club currently six points adrift from safety.
Wales international Vokes, who joined on loan from Wolves last month, believes they have what it takes to beat the drop this season, but understands that they need to prove it sooner rather than later.
"From what I've seen in both training and matches they have certainly got enough quality to stay up this season," Vokes told skysports.com.
"Everyone is looking sharp in training and I'm sure that once one win comes the points will start flowing.
"Everyone in the squad knows that we are so close to getting that first win on the board for Micky (Adams) and I'm sure that once that is accomplished we can put a little run together.
"We obviously need to start putting points on the board so that we can catch Palace up again and everybody is confident of doing that."
The Blades are the lowest scorers in the Championship this season, with just 30 goals in 34 games, but Vokes has backed his team-mates to start firing.
He added: "There are some very good strikers here, with Darius Henderson, who unfortunately has been out for the whole of this season so far, Ched Evans, who I have obviously worked with before in the Wales squad.
"He is a great goalscorer and his record shows that, but I think that a lack of confidence has been the main problem this season and a win would give everyone a boost."
