Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner is confident of extending the loan deals of James Wallace and Aaron Wildig.
Wallace arrived from Everton on a month-long stay at the start of this month but has managed just 25 minutes for Town having been sent off on his debut against Dagenham & Redbridge, resulting in a three-match ban. Fellow midfielder Wildig has made two starts having joined from Cardiff on a similar deal soon after. Turner told Town's official website: "I've spoken to David Moyes (Everton manager) about James several times since that (red card) and he's been training with us every day and been doing well. "Everton have several young players out on loan at the moment and so far David hasn't given permission for any play in the FA Cup. I've kept chipping away so there is still a chance James will be allowed to play in the FA Cup (at home to Rotherham next Saturday). If that doesn't happen then for the month James has been here he will have only played 20 minutes of football. "I will be looking to extend that loan for another month and James is keen to stay with us and desperate to make amends for that challenge at Dagenham. He is enjoying himself here." Turner continued: "Aaron Wildig is a player who we have known about for a long time and I am optimistic there is a chance of extending the loan longer."
