Doyle wants ruthless streak

Sheffield United skipper Michael Doyle has called on his Blades team-mates to develop a more "ruthless" streak.

Doyle complained that the Blades showed Carlisle a way back into the game on Saturday before eventually running out 3-1 winners. And the former Leeds and Coventry midfielder is demanding they close games out earlier to make life a little easier for themselves. "The frustrating thing was that everything we did so well to begin with, we didn't do after the restart. It was almost like we thought 'let's have a look at what Carlisle can do' and that gave them a lift," he told the club's official website. "I don't think any of the lads were happy with how difficult we ended up making it for ourselves and we've got to get more ruthless. "At the end of the day, though, it was a really good result because Carlisle is always such a difficult place for anyone to come. It doesn't matter who or where you are, you always know that you're going to have to work for a result at Brunton Park."
