The Swedish striker is disgusted with the former Crystal Palace man's tackle on him, and fears he will be missing from action for a few weeks.
"It was a true assault," complained Svensson. "I thought everything was gone.
"The foot, the leg, the knee. Everything.
"It was a horrible blow."
The Scandinavian hit-man is hopeful that he will make rapid progress in his bid to recover in time to aid Charlton's fight against the drop.
"When I woke up this morning, I could not walk," he confessed. "Immediately, I thought that there was a fracture in the foot, but the X-ray showed that it was a very strained ligament.
"They said it will take three weeks to recover, but, as it feels now, it could go faster."
Svensson bemoaned The Addicks' recent run of form ahead of the clash with Sunderland on Sunday.
"It is not fun at all," he told Sportbladet. "But you can just struggle on."
