Rotherham have completed the signing of Jamal Campbell-Ryce from Charlton.Rotherham United have completed the signing of Jamal Campbell-Ryce from Charlton Athletic for a nominal fee.
The Championship club had been chasing the winger at the end of last week before the move hit a snag.
Those problems have now been resolved and the 21-year-old has penned a two-and-a-half year contract at Millmoor.
Campbell-Ryce had spent the past three months on loan at Chesterfield, where he cut an impressive figure, including against Rotherham in the Carling Cup.
He was keen to leave The Valley due to his lack of opportunities and was waiting to see if League One side Chesterfield were interested in a permanent deal.
But he has managed to secure a move to The Championship and has been buoyed by linking up with Ronnie Moore's side.
"Rotherham is a good move for me," Campbell-Ryce told Charlton's official website.
"I'm sad to be leaving Charlton but I felt it was something I had to do to further my career.
"I've never been afraid of a challenge and the fact that Rotherham are struggling doesn't bother me in the slightest.
"It's a chance for me to play regularly in The Championship and I'm looking forward to helping them dig themselves out of trouble."
Campbell-Ryce is due to make his debut for Rotherham on Monday evening as The Championship's bottom club entertain Leeds United live on Sky Sports 1.
