Alan Curbishley has stated that out of favour defender Paul Konchesky is not for sale.Charlton Athletic boss Alan Curbishley has stated that out of favour defender Paul Konchesky is no longer on the transfer list.
The 23-year-old had been up for sale, but then secured a loan move to Tottenham for three months at the back end of 2003.
Curbishley knows Konchesky is unhappy regarding playing time, although he did start the club's recent clashes against Liverpool and Newcastle.
The Addicks chief regards the defender, who has one cap for his country, as an important member of his squad and is not looking to part with him.
"I'm not of the opinion that Paul Konchesky is on the transfer list," said the Charlton boss.
"Things have been a bit up and down with Paul; he was on the list and then he went on loan to Spurs and then came back. But I was under the impression that when he returned to Charlton he came off the list.
"He's another player who is unhappy because he doesn't think he's played enough.
"He's a good player, as he's shown on a number of occasions and he's a valuable member of our squad at the moment, so I'm not looking to let Paul go anywhere."
