Paul Konchesky believes his form for Charlton could earn him an England recall.Paul Konchesky believes his rebirth as a midfielder at Charlton could help his England ambitions.
The 23-year-old earned his one and only international cap at left back in the friendly defeat to Australia in February 2003.
However, he has lost that position at Charlton to Hermann Hreidarsson who is now established as Alan Curbishley's first-choice.
Indeed, following a loan spell at Tottenham last season, it seemed his days at The Valley were numbered.
But Konchesky is enjoying a new lease of life on the left-hand side of The Addicks' midfield and feels his form could land him a recall to the England fold.
"It was a brilliant experience to play for England and definitely something I would love to do again," he said.
"If I keep playing regularly for Charlton and doing as well as I know I can, then there is no reason why not."
