Bristol City teenager Cole Skuse has signed his first professional contract.Bristol City teenager Cole Skuse has handed the club a boost by signing his first professional contract.
The 19-year-old has broken into the first-team picture this term and has already caught the eye of Premiership outfit Charlton Athletic.
The League One club have been aiming to ward off the advances of other clubs and have been in talks with Skuse.
He has now signed a two-year contract at Ashton Gate and Skuse had no qualms in committing his future to The Robins.
"I'm chuffed to have signed the new deal and I hope I have a big part to play in the club's future," Skuse told the club's official website.
"I want to be at City and cement a regular place in the first team, that's my aim for next season."
Skuse, who can play in midfield or defence, made his debut as a substitute against Colchester in February and has since gone on to appear twice more from the bench.
Robins boss Brian Tinnion was also delighted to secure Skuse's future, adding: "I'm very pleased Cole has agreed a new deal. He will certainly be pushing for a regular place next season."
