The experienced defender is in the final year of his current deal at The Valley but is keen to secure an extension.
Perry has started all three games this term and scored in last week's win at Middlesbrough as Charlton maintained their 100 percent start to the campaign.
The 32-year-old is waiting to see if Alan Curbishley offers him a new contract and he is confident he can still be a key player for The Addicks.
"This is my third season since I arrived here from Spurs and I have loved every minute of being here," said Perry.
"My deal's up in the summer and I'd love it if the club came to me with something else before then. I'd love to extend my stay.
"But we'll have to see what happens at the end of the season.
"I feel hungry to play football and don't want to be a bit-part player. We'll have to weigh things up in the summer, I suppose."
Perry has made 55 appearances for Charlton since joining from Tottenham two years ago, initially on a loan basis.
