Norwich City are striving to extend the loan deal of Charlton Athletic striker Kevin Lisbie.Norwich City are striving to extend the loan deal of Charlton Athletic striker Kevin Lisbie.
The 26-year-old has spent the past few weeks with The Canaries but is due to return to The Valley following Saturday's game at Brighton.
But with Norwich hit by injuries to their front line, manager Nigel Worthington is keen to keep Lisbie at Carrow Road.
"We are in the process of asking Charlton for another month's loan for him," Worthington told the club's official website.
"That will be down to Alan [Curbishley] at the other end. I have spoken to the player and, with the manager's backing at the other end, he would like to stay."
Lisbie has scored once in five appearances for the Championship club and is hoping Charlton chief Curbishley will give Norwich's request the thumbs up.
"I spoke to the gaffer about it and if Alan is happy for me to stay then I will stay," commented Lisbie.
"But if he wants me to go back I will go back and fight for my place. I'm happy to be playing here."
