Darren Ambrose is confident England's Under-21s will beat France on Tuesday.Charlton midfielder Darren Ambrose is confident England's Under-21s will be more than capable of beating France in midweek.
The two sides meet in a play-off second leg after a 1-1 stalemate on Friday at White Hart Lane, a game in which Ambrose netted the equaliser.
With England playing for a place in the European Championship, Ambrose is in a determined mood ahead of what should be an entertaining game in France.
''I think the whole team is feeling positive,'' Ambrose told Sky Sports News.
''We learnt a lot from the first game and we are looking forward to tomorrow (Tuesday).
''I think we learnt we need to start well, they started well and we were particularly sloppy - so I think we need to get at them, especially in the midfield four.
''I don't think there's any doubt in our mind that we'll score. I think we've got a lot of players who can score goals, it's not a question for us.
''If we can get two I think it will be game over. We're not going to take the game lightly, it's a one-off game and we'll treat it as though there was no first leg.
''We're going in to the game to win it.''
Ambrose continued to praise his manager, Peter Taylor, who he believes is grooming a next generation of stars, who will eventually step-up to the senior ranks.
''It's a big boost working for Peter Taylor,'' he concluded.
''To get a result and go to a big tournament would be our World Cup. Having Sven watching will be very good for the lads of the future.''
