Troyes have ruled out any chance of Blaise Matuidi leaving for Charlton Athletic.
Troyes have ruled out any chance of Blaise Matuidi leaving for Charlton Athletic this month.
Weekend reports claimed Addicks boss Alan Curbishley was closing in on the 18-year-old midfielder, but general director Henri Camous has dismissed the claims.
The Frenchman has played 19 times in Ligue 1 this term and is a key part of Troyes' plans.
"I am very surprised," Camous told skysports.com. "I have heard a rumour about a Premiership club that wanted to sign him, but I did not know it was Charlton.
"We haven't had any contact with Charlton.
"Blaise will continue with us as he is under contract with ESTAC.
"I am very sceptical about the source of the news. I have nothing particular to declare as there is nothing concrete.
"I will talk about it with Blaise and his agent in the next few days," he added. "But he will remain with us."
