Derby duo Michael Johnson and Seth Johnson are both facing lengthy lay-offs.
Derby County have been dealt a major blow with news that Seth Johnson and Michael Johnson are both facing up to six weeks on the sidelines.
The duo have fallen foul of knee injuries and, having undergone assessment on Wednesday morning, it was decided that surgery will be required in order to correct their problems.
County director of football Murdo Mackay told the club's official website: "I think the challenge now is to ensure that whoever plays can continue the good work that Michael and Seth have put in for the club week-in, week-out this season."
Both players have made 27 league appearances for The Rams this season, and their absence will be keenly felt by a team which is presently just four points clear of the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Derby are reportedly keen on securing a loan deal for either one of Charlton strike duo Kevin Lisbie or Francis Jeffers.
