Charlton Athletic captain Luke Young feels the players need to start producing for manager Iain Dowie.
The Addicks have made a poor start to the season and the pressure is on new boss Dowie following six defeats from seven games.
Dowie has won over the squad with his tremendous work ethic and Young feels they need to produce the goods, starting with the trip to Fulham on Monday.
"I feel personally that we owe the manager a little bit now," said Young.
"We owe him a result and we owe him some points because the hard work and effort that he puts in every day is quite amazing.
"The boss is full of enthusiasm every day when he comes in to training and that rubs off on us.
"The lads could not be happier with the day-to-day training - we just need to start getting some points on the board now.
"We have just not quite done it yet - we have not put a 90-minute performance together - but there have been positives in every game we have played and I think we are getting closer to where we want to be all the time.
"We need to start winning games and we need to start on Monday against Fulham."
