Young: We won't give up

Luke Young believes Charlton's determination could help them escape relegation.

Luke Young believes Charlton's never-say-die determination could help them escape the relegation trapdoor.

The Addicks showed their resilience coming from 2-0 down to earn a point a fellow strugglers Watford on Saturday.

Second half goals from Young and Darren Ambrose dragged Charlton back from the brink after a forgettable first 45 minutes.

"We wanted three points and we only got one. We were a shambles at the start. We weren't tight all round the pitch and we got punished," Young told the Daily Star.

"We could have easily gone 3-0 down. We looked lethargic and lacked commitment. I don't know why but I suspected something was wrong during the pre-match warm-up.

"Fortunately, we were much better and sharper in the second half. We don't know when we are beaten. We believe we still have a good chance of staying up."
