The Hammers suffered a humiliating home defeat to Stoke City on Tuesday and after leaving Upton Park to a chorus of boos, Pardew has demanded improvement.
He said: ''I think this team is on a bit of a knife-edge. I need to get this club promoted and everyone has to show me that they want to stay here and play for the club.''
The former Reading manager has had a difficult start to his West Ham career and, after only one victory under his tenure thus far, Pardew is now under pressure to deliver results.
Despite being allowed to bring in several new faces, including Brian Deane, Marlon Harewood and Hayden Mullins, Pardew has warned his team that he will not shirk from making further changes.
He declared: ''The pressure is now on and if it doesn't look right over the next few games, I'm going to have to make changes.
''I'm fed up of talking. What I want to see is some action.''
