The Israel international has been instrumental in The Hammers' solid start to the season, and had another impressive game in the 2-1 victory over Middlesbrough on Sunday.
"He has got fantastic feet and wriggles out of things you don't expect him to," said Pardew.
"He is a bit of a catalyst for us, and was unlucky not to score with a chip in the first half."
Pardew also praised veteran striker Teddy Sheringham, who surprisingly started as a substitute against Middlesbrough before coming off the bench to score.
"Teddy showed a fantastic attitude. He was disappointed, but he does not reflect that.
"He was great in the changing room before the game, wished Bobby (Zamora) all the best, then came on and did his job. You can't ask for more than that."
West Ham will be looking to maintain their momentum in the Carling Cup game against Bolton on Wednesday, before taking on Liverpool in The Premiership next weekend.
