West Ham United defender James Collins is out of Wales' friendly in Cyprus.West Ham United defender James Collins has been forced to withdraw from the Wales squad to face Cyprus on Wednesday.
The former Cardiff City player recently recovered from a dislocated shoulder injury he sustained while on World Cup qualifying duty back in October.
The 22-year-old reported to the Wales squad on Sunday, where the team doctor quickly ruled him out with a calf injury.
His omission leaves Wales boss with few options in his back line for their clash with the Cypriots, with Bristol City's David Partridge having already been ruled out with a thigh injury.
They join the Cardiff City pair of Jason Koumas (groin) and Joe Ledley (ankle) in missing Wednesday's match, with no replacement having been brought in for Collins at this late stage.
