West Ham starlet Mark Noble will join Hull City and Matt Piper could be set to follow.Hull are set to bolster their ranks with the signing of West Ham starlet Mark Noble.
The highly-rated midfielder is set to join The Tigers next week when the 'loan window' reopens.
Noble has dropped down the pecking order at Upton Park and made his last appearance in December.
Hull boss Peter Taylor has agreed to take Noble on loan for a month and he is delighted to land the 18-year-old.
"Mark is a very talented young player and we're delighted to have him on board here," said Taylor.
"I think he's got a future at the highest level but for the time being he will get some excellent first-team experience here with us.
"The reports I've had from several different people who know him very well tell me Mark is a fantastic player and a great lad.
"It's a great boost for us to have such a promising young Premiership player here at Hull City."
The Tigers boss also failed to rule out the possibility that he might make a move for Matt Piper following his recent release from Sunderland.
Taylor knows Piper well, having coached him at England Under-21 level while also working with him as manager of Leicester City.
The winger has seen his recent playing time cut short by serious knee and ankle injuries, however, and Taylor would like assurances over his fitness before thinking about placing a contract on the table.
He told the Hull Daily Mail: "He's been released by Sunderland. I might be interested but I would need a lot of assurances about his fitness after everything he's been through."
