New deal for Town starlet

Ipswich Town teenager Billy Clarke has been rewarded with a new contract.

Ipswich Town teenager Billy Clarke has been rewarded with a new contract.

Clarke made his debut for Town last season and also spent time on loan at Colchester United.

His promise has prompted Ipswich boss Jim Magilton (pictured) to hand the 18-year-old a deal until 2009.

The young striker, who has made two appearances for the first team, will now be looking to make an impact at Portman Road in the coming season.

Meanwhile, reports suggest Magilton is hoping to sign West Ham United's teenage midfielder Mark Noble on loan.

The 19-year-old enjoyed the end of last term at Hull City and could be primed for a return to The Championship to accrue further experience.
