Premier League weekend results

  • Watford 1-2 Manchester United
  • Chelsea 1-0 Norwich
  • Everton 4-0 Aston Villa
  • Newcastle 0-3 Leicester
  • Southampton 0-1 Stoke
  • Swansea 2-2 Bournemouth
  • West Brom 2-1 Arsenal
  • Manchester City 1-4 Liverpool
  • Tottenham 4-1 West Ham

Tottenham A

You can't ask for any more, it was an excellent performance and result in a London derby. Harry Kane was in great form and the midfield area is looking strong. West Ham were just outclassed.

Liverpool A

They were excellent with and without the ball and when they didn't have it they had a lot of chances to get it in the final third because of their pressing. They really exposed Eliaquim Mangala and Martin Demichelis with a very good display.

Leicester A

It's incredible what they are doing. It was probably the first time they went away from home as favourites so the pressure was on, but they delivered. Vardy was excellent again but there are a lot of unsung heroes in there like Drinkwater, King and Kante.

West Brom B

They had good fortune with the missed penalty and the fact Arsenal didn't take their chances, but it was a solid performance from West Brom and a good win against a top team.

Bournemouth B

They made a great start away from home but they should have closed it out from 2-0 up. Maybe Eddie Howe has to think about trying to close out games in a different manner.

Everton B

They are probably one of the most entertaining sides to watch at the moment. They missed out on an A due to the quality of the opposition but they are great to watch and John Stones is looking top class.

Stoke B

A really good performance. Shaqiri, Arnautovic and Bojan behind the main striker give them plenty of creativity and pace. On the counter they looked excellent and with Shawcross back in defence they look a bit more solid.

Chelsea B

I did this game for Soccer Saturday and although it was 1-0 it could have been three of four. Norwich had a couple of chances on the break but Hazard was brilliant behind Costa. I thought it was his best game of the season and hopefully this triggers a return to form because he is quality.

Man Utd B

They were away from home with a few injuries so it was a good result. They stepped up towards the end, created two or three chances in the final five minutes and took one.

Arsenal C

When you go to places like West Brom and you have ambitions for the title you have to win. Obviously the slip by Cazorla didn't help, but there are still sides to their game they have to improve on, like conceding from set pieces. With Coquelin out injured for two months there is a big hole in the centre of midfield.

Swansea C

They were playing a team near the bottom and it was a chance to get back on the winning trail. Coming from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 was a good result but they still have a long way to go.

Southampton C

You thought it might have been a home banker but they didn't create as many chances as they normally do and didn't play the fast and fluent football they can.

Norwich C

Losing 1-0 wasn't that bad a result. The defence looked quite solid and had Bassong taken his chance in the first half it could have been a different story. Ruddy looked in good form and the back four played well, so they can take heart from a decent performance.

Watford C

Another team who can take heart from their display. They put pressure on United in the second half and De Gea made a couple of good saves. In the first half they could have taken the game to United more - they maybe gave them too much respect. I think they could do alright this season.

Newcastle D

Even though Leicester are at the top I think this was a shocker for Newcastle to lose at home like this. There were people thinking they had turned the corner, but I think they still have a long way to go before they do that.

West Ham E

They never really got going and Slaven Bilic has to find a way to play without Payet. It's no good saying 'our best player is missing so we are going to do this and that' - they have to find a way. If he is going to play Andy Carroll they have to get crosses into him but I think they should go with Diafra Sakho up front again because he provides more movement.

Slaven Bilic says Tottenham were the better team in every department following West Ham's 4-1 loss at White Hart Lane.

Man City E

It was quite easy before the game to see how Liverpool were going to play but City seemed to get caught by surprise. You look at the way they lined up and you thought they might have needed more protection in front of the centre-backs with Toure playing in the two in front.

Aston Villa F

They got a decent result against City but this goes to show that they have a long way to go. The surprise for me was they got the result against City but then still made four changes. I know Jordan Amavi was injured but three changes is still a surprise. Maybe they need a settled side.
