The 25-year-old has impressed Imps boss Phil Stant during his month-long spell at the club in which the club have only lost once in his five appearances.
With regular keeper Alan Marriot still struggling with a knee injury, Stant is pleased that the Hornets have agreed let him stay an extra month.
"Thanks to Graham Taylor at Watford, we have been able to get Chris here for a further four weeks," said Stant.
"It is a real boost for everyone at the club because he has been a great influence in the dressing-room as well as on the pitch, where his performances have been excellent."
"He wants to stay with us a little longer and everyone is happy. Of course, he can still get recalled by Watford at any time but that situation has not changed."
Meanwhile, Watford boss Graham Taylor is looking to bring in a loan signing of his own, with both Robert Page and Paul Robinson suspended for the weekend clash with league leaders Fulham.
"I was trying to bring someone in on loan at the end of last week, but was unable to do so," said Taylor.
"It is something I shall seriously have to think about this week. With Robert and Paul both suspended - and both were booked again at Sheffield United - I cannot afford any more injuries."
