Ashley Young scored twice to give Watford a point from a 3-3 draw at Home Park.Ashley Young scored two second-half goals to salvage a point for Watford from a 3-3 draw against Plymouth at Home Park.
Plymouth came into the game on the back of an eight-match unbeaten home run and a fine 2-1 win at Reading on the opening day of the season and they were flying as they twice established a two-goal lead.
Micky Evans put them in front after only four minutes when he headed in a deep cross from Akos Buzsaky and Tony Capaldi added a second eight minutes later when he beat Ben Foster with a low left-foot shot.
Marlon King, on loan at Watford from Nottingham Forest, pulled a goal back with a powerful drive from 18 yards, but Argyle restored their two-goal cushion when captain Paul Wotton drove in from the edge of the area.
Young dragged Watford back into the match when he beat Plymouth keeper Romain Larrieu with a delightful free-kick from 25 yards out.
The Watford midfielder then drew his side level five minutes later when he burst into the area and placed a low shot beyond Larrieu.
Evans could have won it for Plymouth late on, but he powered a free header wide of the target.
