Wolves crashed to defeat at Vicarage Road as Watford score a flurry of second half goals.Watford scored three goals in 11 second half minutes to sink Wolves 3-1 at Vicarage Road.
Jay Demerit, Marlon King and Paul Devlin were all on target for Adrian Boothroyd's side, who made ground in the Championship as none of the teams above them in the table won.
Seol ki-Hyeon scored a last minute consolation for Glenn Hoddle's side, who left with nothing despite dominating the first half.
Watford's rising star Ashley Young, who has nine goals to his name this season, created all three goals for the Hornets, who opened the scoring through Demerit in the 69th minute.
Young floated over a corner from the right wing and Demerit rose highest to plant a header past visiting keeper Michael Oakes.
The left winger was again involved eight minutes later as he touched Matthew Spring's pass through to King, who dispatched a shot beyond Oakes with the aid of a deflection off Jody Craddock.
Two minutes later it was three as another Young corner was flicked on by Clarke Carlisle and Devlin scored from no more than a yard out.
Seol turned in a loose ball from 10 yards for Wolves in the final minute, but manager Glenn Hoddle was left to reflect on the chances his side squandered in the first half.
Leon Clarke, in for the injured Carl Cort, missed the best of them when he shot straight at Ben Foster from Kenny Miller's cross, and after his angled drive was pushed away by Foster the young striker turned the ball wied from six yards after a fine cross from Lee Naylor.
Miller curled a shot against a post from just outside the area and Foster then pulled off great saves to deny Darren Anderton and Miller again.
