James Chambers was happy to finally end his injury frustration by starting against Spurs.
James Chambers admits he was happy to finally end his injury frustration by starting Watford's defeat at Tottenham Hotspur.
The defender made his first Premiership appearance in three months when starting last weekend's 3-1 loss at White Hart Lane.
Chambers had undergone a skin graft on his ankle and had not expected to be on the sidelines for so long.
He acknowledges his recovery was a difficult period, but he is now delighted to be back in a Hornets shirt.
"It had been a frustrating period for me," Chambers told the club's official website.
"It's just good to get across the white line again and even more so with me being out for quite a while.
"It has taken me longer than I actually thought, but thanks to the physios and medical team here, I've been lucky to get back.
"The skin graft takes time to heal and obviously with it being right on my ankle bone, it's been a problem getting movement in it.
"I was stationary for weeks, having to stay at my mum and dad's house. I couldn't get up or down the stairs, couldn't walk, couldn't move."
