It comes as no surprise that QPR's Jamie Mackie is a leading contender for the PFA Fans' Monthly award.

Mackie and Taarabt being chased by the pack

It comes as no surprise to learn that QPR striker Jamie Mackie is a leading contender for the PFA Championship Fans' Player of the Month award for September. Time is running out for you to get your vote in for your favourite Player of the Month, but you can get involved by clicking here. The 24-year-old's brace against Leicester last weekend made it eight for the season since his £500,000 transfer from Plymouth in the summer and he is now being linked with a call-up to the Scotland squad. Mackie qualifies for Scotland by virtue of having Scottish grandparents and he admits he is keen to get a taste of international football having watched his former Argyle teammate Rory Fallon play for New Zealand in the World Cup. "My family and I all cheered Rory on and I'd love to play international football in any capacity," said Mackie. "I qualify for Scotland as well as England and it's a great thing to have on the CV." In-form Rangers are currently five points clear at the top of the table and Mackie's teammate, playmaker Adel Taarabt is also proving popular with voters.
Scott Sinclair
Another summer signing who has made a great start at his new club is Swansea winger Scott Sinclair. The 21-year-old, who arrived at the Liberty Stadium from Chelsea for an initial fee of £500,000, has already scored seven goals for the Swans this term, including a hat-trick against Peterborough on Tuesday night. Sinclair said: "It is such a nice thing to be playing regularly and I want to perform in every game. The manager has given me a chance to play and hopefully I can keep producing."
Marvin Sordell
Meanwhile, young Watford striker Marvin Sordell is certainly making his mark for Hornets this term, having scored in his last three consecutive games to help the club climb to fifth. Watford boss Malky Mackay said: "Marvin is really exciting because he is only 19 and already showing he can score regularly in the Championship."
Chris Dagnall
Finally, Scunthorpe's Chris Dagnall has made a smooth transition to life in the Championship after his transfer from Rochdale in the close season. Dagnall has already netted four times for the Iron, including a recent brace in the 4-0 win against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
