Watford striker Chris Iwelumo has set his sights on steering the club into the Premier League this year, despite their sluggish start to the new season.
The 33-year-old has come under criticism from supporters recently after failing to find the net in his first three starts for the Hornets since making the summer switch from Burnley.
The former Wolves man has been struggling after picking up a slight groin strain during pre-season, but he insists no-one should rule Watford out of the promotion equation just yet.
"You've always got to aim for the sky and whatever will be will be after that, but there is a lot of hard work ahead and I'm in a great squad here that is looking forward to putting the graft in," Iwelumo told skysports.com.
"The facilities and the players here are fantastic and it is definitely a club moving forward, with a young set of lads here that have good heads on them."
Iwelumo's international career has been blighted by a glaring miss on his Scotland debut against Norway, but he hopes that a good season for Watford will earn him another chance to impress.
He added: "Everyone remembers that glaring miss on my international debut, but the past is in the past and I can't change what happened three years ago.
"That is behind me now and I feel great, so as long as I do the right things for Watford it will hopefully open up doors internationally for me again."
