Brighton took over at the top of the Championship table, while Crystal Palace and Burnley grabbed comeback wins.

Wolves win again; Leeds topple Forest

Brighton's bright start to the season continued as they maintained their winning streak to go top of the Championship, while Crystal Palace pulled off a comeback and there was late drama for Burnley. Glenn Murray scored a hat-trick as Crystal Palace pulled off a 3-2 comeback win at home to Cardiff after the Bluebirds had netted two early goals, with two of the striker's efforts coming from the penalty spot. Burnley seized a dramatic 2-1 win at Derby as Charlie Austin netted a brace, scoring his second in the 89th minute at Pride Park. High-flying Brighton claimed their fifth win on the bounce with a 2-1 triumph at Millwall to add to the Lions' poor start, with Ashley Barnes and Adam El-Abd getting on the scoresheet, while substitute Chris Taylor was sent off for the hosts. Nottingham Forest could not complete a comeback against rivals Leeds despite a second-half goal from Dexter Blackstock as the White triumphed 2-1 at Elland Road. Craig Davies produced a blistering performance as Barnsley demolished Birmingham 5-0 away from home in the day's late match, scoring four times to leave Lee Clark's side hovering just above the bottom three. Wolves secured their third successive win as they triumphed 2-0 at Peterborough, with Sylvan Ebanks-Blake firing home a penalty before Bjorn Sigurdarson put the result beyond doubt. Charlton ended a run of three straight defeats with a 2-1 success at Ipswich Town, with Johnnie Jackson and Ricardo Fuller both scoring in under two minutes in the second half. Mark Davies scored a winner for Bolton as they beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 at Hillsborough, marking the Owls' fourth straight defeat. Watford were twice pegged back in a 2-2 draw at home to Bristol City, with Steven Davies grabbing the equaliser for the visitors in the 83rd minute.
