Leaders Palace visit Leeds; Ipswich host Posh in basement battle

It's a busy Championship weekend as Cardiff hope Crystal Palace slip up and there's a basement battle at Portman Road. Crystal Palace continue to lead the Championship having won their last five games and will be confident of extending that sequence at Leeds, who have lost their last three. But if the Eagles do slip up then Cardiff could go back to the top if they win at struggling Barnsley. Keith Hill's side have gone six games without a win. All 24 teams play on Saturday with the late kick-off a Midlands derby between Nigel's Clough's Derby and Lee Clark's Birmingham. That's live on Sky Sports 2 HD. Elsewhere, Leicester boss Nigel Pearson returns to Sheffield Wednesday with the Owls having lost their last three matches. The fifth-place Foxes could go third if results go their way but the teams above them will be confident of victory in winnable home games. Hull entertain Burnley while Middlesbrough host Bristol City at the Riverside Stadium.

Six-pointer

At the other end of the table, there's a relegation six-pointer at Portman Road where Ipswich take on Peterborough. A win for the Posh will take them off the bottom of the league. Meanwhile, Wolves aim to end a run of seven without a win when they face Nottingham Forest at Molineux. Brighton will be hoping to get back into the play-off positions with a home win against Bolton. Blackburn are aiming to stay in the top six but could have their work cut out against an in-form Millwall side that could leapfrog Rovers if they pick up all three points. Watford could also overtake their opponents with a win when they travel north to take on Blackpool at Bloomfield Road. And completing the fixture list, Charlton will be eyeing a fourth successive victory at home to Huddersfield.
