Transfer News: Matej Vydra hopes Troy Deeney will stay at Watford

Watford forward Matej Vydra is hoping the club can hang onto his strike partner Troy Deeney.
Deeney has been linked with a host of clubs, and the likes of Burnley, QPR and Leicester have seen offers rejected by Watford this summer.
Vydra and Deeney have been reunited in Watford's front-line after the Czech spent last season on loan at West Brom, but now back in yellow, he is hoping they can reproduce the sort of form they showed in 2012/13 when they scored over 40 goals between them.
They were quickly back in the groove at the weekend as they were both on the score-sheet in Watford's opening day 3-0 triumph against Bolton, and Vydra hopes Deeney will stay.
"I think Troy can stay here and get promoted with Watford," he said.
"And if we had a whole season together in the Championship I think we could do very well for Watford in a strong team.
"We have a good chance. If he left, we lose 25 goals - and that would be too much.
"I think he has got better and improved in the time I have been away, that is clear.
"He is a very good player and striker but also a captain. The players follow him.
"It would be much better if he stayed."
