Paul Lambert has emerged as the early favourite to be the next Blackburn Rovers manager following Gary Bowyer's sacking.
Bowyer lost his job after overseeing just three wins this season and becomes the eighth managerial departure of the season in the Sky Bet Championship.
Former Aston Villa manager Lambert was quickly backed in from 10/1 to 1/4 in Sky Bet's market, with David Moyes (5/1) and Tim Sherwood (10/1) considered the other main contenders for the post.
Lambert, who built a strong reputation after leading Norwich into the Premier League with back-to-back promotions, has been out of work since being sacked by Villa in February, leaving the Midlands club in the relegation zone following a 10-match winless run.
The 46-year-old Scotsman has also been linked with vacant positons at Fulham and QPR but is currently 18/1 and 20/1 for the respective posts.
Sky Bet's Sandro Di Michele said: "It's been one-way traffic since we opened the market, with a run of significant stakes prompting us to slash Lambert's odds considerably."
