Leeds United have revealed to Sky Sports News HQ that they have taken down the sign erected by some fans protesting at club owner Massimo Cellino.

The anti-Cellino poster appeared on an advertising board outside the East Stand at Elland Road on Thursday but was removed on Friday by the advertising agency after legal action was threatened.

The sign, which includes the slogan 'Time To Go Massimo', included a picture of Cellino with a red cross over his face and quotes from the Italian.

Cellino is currently appealing a ban from the Football League that would stop him running the Championship club.

The protest sign was paid for by some fans angry that Cellino was still involved at Elland Road.

The club's lawyers contacted the agency who put it up asking for it to be taken down saying it amounted to "harassment" of Cellino.
