Rotherham have announced the signing of defender Ben Purrington from Plymouth for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old left-back has penned a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Millers.
Purrington, who came through the Argyle academy, has been a regular in the Plymouth defence this season.
Interim boss Paul Warne told themillers.co.uk: "He's perfect for us and he's a good fit and we're really pleased he's coming in.
"I've said this before, but I want to hand this team or squad over to the next manager in better form than I got it and I think he [Ben] is one of them who will be a good player for us in the next six months, 12 months, two years."
Purrington added: "I am delighted to be here and get a move to a Championship club. I am really happy to get the deal over the line and I am looking forward to a good few years at Rotherham.
"I have been at Plymouth for 11 years now so it will be a bit different, and will take some getting used to. I am delighted to get it done, I'm a long way from home but it will be good for my career.
"Every player at some point has to move away from home. This move felt right so hopefully it will be a good move."
