Miller agrees Ipswich return

Tommy Miller has agreed a two-year contract to return to Ipswich Town.

Tommy Miller has agreed a two-year contract to return to Ipswich Town.

Skysports.com revealed earlier this week that the midfielder was in talks regarding a deal with his former club.

Ipswich have now confirmed that Miller has accepted an offer and will finalise his move later in the week.

"I can confirm that we have agreed a deal with Tommy and he has passed a medical," Town boss Jim Magilton told the club's official website.

"He's gone home to get a few things sorted out and pick up some clothes, and will be back at the club on Thursday morning to sign his contract and start training."

Miller was available on a free transfer from Sunderland after not being offered a new contract at the end of last season.

Prior to signing for Sunderland in 2005, the 28-year-old scored 36 goals in 139 appearances in a four-year spell at Portman Road.
