Hull are hoping to open contract negotiations with Henrik Pedersen.Hull chairman Paul Duffen is hoping to open contract negotiations with Henrik Pedersen when the former Bolton striker returns to the club next weekend.
Tigers boss Phil Brown is interested in signing Pedersen, having worked with him during his time at The Reebok Stadium.
Pedersen, who has been struggling with an Achilles problem for some time, met with Hull officials earlier this month and underwent a medical assessment.
He will come back next weekend and Duffen has confirmed that Hull are looking to offer him a contract.
"Henrik came to the club and things went well," Duffen told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"He has now gone back to Denmark to continue his rehab and we are due to see him again on August 4 and if everything is fine then we will be looking to sit down and discuss a contract."
Hull are also aiming to bring in Leeds striker Richard Cresswell but Duffen accepts there are complications.
"We are talking to Leeds about Richard but obviously, at the current time, there are implications when negotiating about any player that is involved with Leeds," he explained.
"All I can really say is that Richard Cresswell, who is local having been born in Bridlington, is a quality player and just the sort we would be interested in."
