Australian could be sidelined for six weeks

Leicester midfielder James Wesolowski faces up to six weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. The Australian suffered the problem during the Carling Cup clash against Nottingham Forest in midweek and had to be withdrawn before half-time. Wesolowski is now expected to be out of action until the end of October and Gary Megson admits it is a major blow to lose him at this stage of the season. "He's had a scan, it's a bad pull, and it could be four to six weeks," said the Leicester manager. "It's bad news for us and bad news for Jimbo. His career has been blighted by injuries. But he's a tough lad and he will be back." News of Wesolwski's injury could speed up Megson's attempts to strengthen his squad, but he admits it has so far been a frustrating time for him in the loan market. "I have made a few phone calls, but it's hard to get good players in on loan," he told the Leicester Mercury. "I'll keep pursuing things though."
