Hull City defender Sam Collins is looking forward to playing first-team football on loan at Swindon Town.
Collins is expected to agree a month-long deal with the League One club after going over a year without playing a competitive game due to a knee injury.
The 30-year-old should finalise his move before the weekend's game with Millwall and is keen to impress Robins boss Paul Sturrock.
"The injury seems absolutely fine now," Collins told the Swindon Advertiser. "I am not coming to Swindon just to get fit.
"I am coming here because I am excited about the club's potential and I want to do well for the club and the manager.
"The manager wants to make sure I am fit before committing himself, but I know I am now.
"I want to play as many first-team games as I can in the next month and then we will see what happens.
"I definitely would not rule out saying I want to stay longer though. I am coming down here to do well, get myself going again, and then we will take it from there."
