Morrison waits on Palace deal

Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison is waiting to be offered a new contract at Selhurst Park.

But Warnock won't rush into making an offer

Clinton Morrison is waiting to be offered a new contract by Crystal Palace, although Neil Warnock insists there is 'no rush'. Republic of Ireland striker Morrison's present deal expires at the end of the season and he is yet to hold talks regarding an extension. Morrison wants to stay at Selhurst Park, but is adamant he will not be begging for a new deal with the Championship club. "It's up to the club to come and talk to me, not the other way round," Morrison told reporters.

Going places

"So far nothing has been said. In an ideal world, I'd love to stay here because I want to play in the Premier League again and I feel this club is really going places. "Hopefully, it will all be sorted out soon." But Palace boss Warnock admits he will not be pressured into resolving Morrison's future at the club. Warnock said: "There's no rush. I'm not worried if other clubs come in for him - what will be, will be."
