Leeds United have agreed a deal to sign Enoch Showunmi from Bristol City.
The Nigerian international, who has scored 13 goals in 44 appearances for City, now has to agree personal terms before moving to Elland Road.
The 25-year-old played a key role in The Robins' promotion to the Championship last season. He also won back-to-back promotions with Luton Town before joining Bristol City in the summer of 2006.
City confirmed the Showunmi move on their official website: "Following an approach from Leeds United, City can confirm they have given permission for the League One club to talk to Enoch Showunmi about a permanent transfer," they said in a statement.
Leeds boss Dennis Wise has been keen to add striker cover to his squad with Leon Constantine sidelined with a broken arm.
Wise has also allowed teenager Scott Gardner to join Blue Square Conference side Farsley Celtic on loan until 24th February.
