Plymouth bid for youngster

Oldham have confirmed the club have received an undisclosed bid from Plymouth for defender Neal Trotman. Recent speculation has linked Trotman with a move to Home Park and Oldham chief executive Alan Hardy has now confirmed the Pilgrims have made an approach for the 19-year-old. Plymouth are understood to be keen to land the youngster as they aim to add strength in depth to their squad in a bid to secure a place in the Championship play-off places. However, Oldham insist that they have not agreed a deal with the Pilgrims and the Latics are not thought to be keen to sell. Trotman, who spent part of last season on loan at Halifax, has made 21 appearances for Oldham and has scored one goal in that time.
