Coventry manager Chris Coleman has issued a fitness challenge to injury prone right-back David McNamee.
The player is the Sky Blues' only recognised right-back and could earn a new contract with the Championship club after training with a ball for the first time this week since his latest setback in December.
Coleman likes the player but wants him now to prove his fitness after hamstring problems have limited his Sky Blues' appearances to just 27 since he joined from Livingston almost two years ago.
The Coventry boss said: "David has been working hard with the physio and trained with a ball on Monday.
"He is very quick and is good with the ball but he has had ongoing problems with his hamstrings.
"I explained to David that I like him as a player but it is all down to his fitness and we have got to see if he can come back and maintain his level of fitness and performance for the first-team, because the only worry for us is that injury in his hamstring that keeps holding him back.
"It might always be there but these things can often be managed. We have to see with David whether he is going to come back and be okay because we could certainly do with that sort of quality, that is for sure."
