Cardiff chairman admits every player has his price

Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale has admitted that every player has his price but warned that it will take a lot of money for the club to part with some of their stars. Joe Ledley and Aaron Ramsey have both been linked with moves away from Ninian Park after producing impressive performances in Cardiff's run to the FA Cup final. Everton manager David Moyes reportedly travelled to watch the duo in action against Wolves on Tuesday, while Manchester United are thought to have enquired after Ramsey. Ridsdale claims that scouts from all around the country have been paying close attention to The Bluebirds, and he concedes that he would have to listen to any interesting offers. Cardiff's financial worries may have been eased by their success in the Cup and the January sale of Chris Gunter but Ridsdale has refused to rule out further departures. "Every scout under the sun is watching Cardiff at the moment and every player has a value," Ridsdale told the Western Mail. "I expect people to be knocking on my door, but they can knock as much as they like. Certain players have a value and that is that. "Every player is up for sale, that has always been the case. What has changed is that the price has just got bigger - it would take a massive cheque to prise certain players away."
