Pilgrims boss hoping Scottish duo will stay

Paul Sturrock has revealed that he is keen to sign Russell Anderson and Gary Teale on permanent deals. The Scottish duo are currently on loan at Plymouth from Sunderland and Derby respectively, but are due to return to their parent clubs at the end of the season. Sturrock is keen to keep both players at Home Park on a full-time basis, but admits that the pair are yet to make a decision on what their future will hold. "I have spoken to both players and they have, understandably, left their options open," he said. "I would imagine anyone in their position would do the same."

Busy

While being keen to get Anderson and Teale on board, Sturrock also revealed that he will begin his search for further new recruits once the Pilgrims have completed their league campaign at Wolves this Sunday. "Myself, the coaching staff and the chief scout will all be out and about," he said. "It's going to be a busy, busy time for us because I need to freshen up the squad. "We will be working tirelessly over the next four or five weeks, June will probably be a quiet month for everybody, but if I can sign some people before the end of May I will do. "Then from 1st July onwards we will be at it again, trying to bring people in for the new challenge next season."
