Forest face selection dilemma

Colin Calderwood faces an interesting dilemma as he decides on who to pair in the Nottingham Forest attack. The Reds' boss has just splashed out £2.65million on Robert Earnshaw, a proven goal scorer at Championship level, to add to the burgeoning collection of strikers at the City Ground. Nathan Tyson and Junior Agogo were the men charged with getting the club out of League One, which they duly achieved, while Garath McCleary and Emile Sinclair will be hoping to establish themselves in the first-team fold next season. Which so many options available to him up front, Calderwood admits that his only problem now is finding a creative influence to lay on the chances.

Combination

"I think we've got to find the right combination," said the Scottish coach. "It'll be interesting to see the link-up with all the forward players. I think the important thing is the service we get to them now that we've lost Kris [Commons], who was a major provider of goals, and that's all for pre-season. "We'll try one or two combinations in pre-season and get the best formation and formula for ourselves."
