Peter Halmosi is hoping Plymouth Argyle's demands will not scupper his chance to move to the Premier League.
Top-flight new boys Hull City have expressed an interest in the Hungarian winger, although KC Stadium boss Phil Brown is not prepared to meet Plymouth's asking price.
The Pilgrims are understood to want £3million for Halmosi, who has impressed during the last 18 months at Home Park.
Halmosi accepts he still has two years left on his Plymouth contract, but is eager to play Premier League football.
"I've a contract for two more years in Plymouth and I was informed that the club would like to extend it," Halmosi told Nemzeti Sport.
"It seems my performances have caught the eyes of some clubs, but I don't know any more about it.
"It's better to say I know one thing - as I'm contracted to Plymouth the officials can ask as much money for me as they want. As far as I know, they have stated my 'selling price' is £3milion.
"This is a thing (high transfer valuation) which has always prevented me from stepping forward from my clubs in my career before.
"I hope I don't seem to be immodest, but I think I had a great season, enough to be able to step forward. I admit I would like to do so (play for a Premier League club).
"I hope this time there won't be any financial block to this."
