Rangers are close to completing the signing of Burnley striker Kyle Lafferty.
The club's official website confirmed on Tuesday that terms have been agreed with Lafferty about his proposed move to Ibrox.
The update also said that terms have also been agreed between the two clubs, with the proposed transfer fee thought to be in the region of £3million.
The Ibrox giants have beaten off competition from Wolves and Celtic to sign the 20-year-old Northern Ireland striker, who scored five goals in 40 games for the Championship side last term.
He has previously said he would be 'thrilled' to join Gers.
Meanwhile Gers' Belgian midfielder Thomas Buffel could be on his way back to his homeland.
Belgian club Germinal Beerschot have confirmed their interest in the international, who has one year left on his contract with Gers.
The Scottish side are ready to let him leave and he has interested several clubs in Germany's Bundesliga, while also being linked with Norwich.
Germinal vice-president Herman Kesters said: "We have spoken with Thomas Buffel's agent.
"Thomas is a player who can help our team, but Buffel must first decide if a team such as Germinal Beerschot is suitable for his future.
"We have let him know our offer. In the coming days it should become clear whether a move to Germinal Beerschot is possible."
He added: "If a German team comes in with lots of money it becomes difficult for us.
"We are still looking down other routes, but we certainly want to talk with Buffel again."
