Trollope says no approaches received for defender

Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope insists Danny Coles is not for sale amid reports of interest from Plymouth Argyle. Coles signed a two-and-a-half year contract with Rovers in January after turning his loan move from Hull City into a permanent arrangement. He cost the League One club an undisclosed fee, but reports claim Plymouth could offer Rovers the chance to get their money back. Trollope is aware Plymouth have been watching Coles, but he has no plans to cash in on the 26-year-old stopper.

Important part to play

"We have not heard anything from Plymouth," Trollope told the Bristol Evening Post. "We are aware that they were watching Danny for spells last season, but we have had no approach from them. "I don't want to sell him because he has an important part to play at this football club."
