Coventry are still keen on signing Wolves striker Freddy Eastwood, despite having been spurned in their initial attempts to land him.
Eastwood has been deemed surplus to requirements at Molineux, with Wolves boss Mick McCarthy far from convinced by the man he brought to the Midlands from Southend.
Wolves are looking for £1.5million for the Wales international but Coventry are reluctant to pay more than £1million.
However, Coleman still remains hopeful of landing a player he admits he would love to see at the Ricoh Arena.
"A striker is my priority and I would be a hypocrite if I said Freddy Eastwood wasn't in our sights any more," he told the Wolverhampton Express and Star.
"Just because it didn't work out when we tried to sign him last season doesn't mean I still don't think he's a good player.
"He's number nine for his country [Wales] and he's a player I like.
"Whether or not we can take it further and do a deal with his club, I don't know."
