Burnley have stepped up their preparations for next season with the double signings of goalkeeper Diego Penny and midfielder Kevin McDonald.
Peru No.1 Penny joins from Coronel Bolognesi, but the move is subject to the approval of a work permit.
Burney will be informed of the outcome of their work permit appeal on 27th June, but manager Owen Coyle is confident the move for the 24-year-old will receive the green light.
"As far as we are concerned, everything is agreed between us, the player and his respective club," Coyle told Burnley's official website.
"We felt Diego fulfilled the criteria for an automatic work permit, but last year he was rested due to a minor injury for two games and this meant he fell just slightly short of the required criteria.
"However the player's personal terms have been met and subject to the permit hearing, we would expect Diego to become a Burnley player."
Meanwhile, McDonald, 19, moves to Turf Moor from Dundee in a £500,000 deal as Burnley have doubled May's failed attempt to land the Scotland Under 21 international.
McDonald is viewed as a replacement for Kyle Lafferty, who joined Rangers last week in a £3million-plus deal and the transfer follows Monday's signing of Scunthorpe striker Martin Paterson.
